It’s hard to say much about this issue without spoilers because a lot of s**t goes down.
Blue Beetle, or as he’s referred to in this series, Big Blue, confront Sparky about what happened to Black Terror and Baron Von Physics. Big Blue swam down to the Baron’s submarine and found a recording device that recorded the entire confrontation, including Tim’s apparent murders of Black Terror and the Baron. He proceeds to attempt to arrest Sparky but I’ll just say that things don’t go as planned.
Meanwhile, Tim goes to Rainbow Boy’s apartment to confront him about supposedly stealing his and the others’ glory. That confrontation also doesn’t go well, and we learn a secret about Rainbow Boy which explains his continued popularity in Libertyville.
But the biggest revelation from the previous issue is that the Baron’s disintegrating ray gun is actually some kind of dimensional teleportation device. So Black Terror and Baron Von Physics are actually still alive, but have just been stuck in some freaky weird dimension that’s inhabited by multiple strange lifeforms. And now Blue Bolt, who Tim shot with the gun last issue, is also there with them, and two heroes and villain are plotting on a way to return to their home dimension to get revenge on Tim.
Things are really heating up, and the creative team of Ryan Browne and Pete Woods are really bringing it in this exciting miniseries!
