Ex-wife put Hulk Hogan against ropes in divorce settlement

Linda Bollea, 52, who divorced Hulk Hogan in 2009, received a little more than 70 percent of the couple’s liquid assets in their divorce settlement, a recent court filing shows.

SHE got 70%?!? How many body-slams and chair-shots to the head did she ever take? He was the one risking his life on a daily basis for the past 3 decades while, to the best of my knowledge, she didn’t have an outside job (yeah, I know, she stayed home and raised the kids, but c’mon!). That’s fooked up. No wonder Hogan is still wrestling @ age 58, he needs the money.

Gingrich shows humane side on immigration

I really don’t want to talk about politics too much, but stuff like this just boggles my mind, sometimes. It’s amazing to see what are considered “bad” positions by the Republican party, these days. Newt Gingrich says: “If you’ve been here 25 years and you got three kids and two grandkids, you’ve been paying taxes and obeying the law, you belong to a local church, I don’t think we’re going to separate you from your family, uproot you forcefully and kick you out” and “I don’t see how the party that says it’s the party of the family is going to adopt an immigration policy which destroys families that have been here a quarter century. And I’m prepared to take the heat for saying, ‘let’s be humane in enforcing the law without giving them citizenship but by finding a way to create legality so that they are not separated from their families.’ And, of course, the other candidates attack him for it, and accuse him of advocating “amnesty.”

The thing is, Gingrich is absolutely right on this. Illegal immigration is a problem in this country, and we need to protect our borders more efficiently, but when it comes to the ones who are already here, we need to be smart (&, yes, humane) about how we deal with it. Just saying Let’s deport every single one of them is stupid, and impractical. Gringrich’s position is well-thought out. But that’s not good enough for the current GOP, who just wants black and white soundbites. It’s sad.

Wow, this show has been on 13 seasons. I am astounded. I swear, the first time I saw a commercial for this show, I thought it was a joke. I thought the commercial was a special parody video or something. It just didn’t see like a real show that would actually be made. And, yet, it has, and is a huge hit! Go figure. I’ve never watched it. But I probably would if it got real “stars” on it. Seriously, give me stars Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, Oprah Winfrey, and Helen Mirren on DWTS, and I’d check it out.
