In 1991 Bell Biv DeVoe released this album, which includes remixed versions of all the songs on their first album POISON. Normally I wouldn’t review a remix album, but this one is a bit more notable than your average remix album, in that the remixed versions of DOPE! and DO ME are the versions that were recorded for the music videos to those singles from the first album. And, most importantly, the remix of WORD TO THE MUTHA features Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown, and Johnny Gill on it. This was the first time that the group had recorded a song and performed in a video as a sextet, and it was especially cool to see Bobby with the rest of the group again. I remember hoping this meant another New Edition album would be due soon, but we ended up having to wait another 5 years before that happened. Still, that song alone makes this album worth getting.
