…you can’t even get away from your job in your dreams!

That’s right, I had a dream about work last night. Ugh. Seriously? Work all day, come home wiped out, then go to sleep and dream about work? That’s not cool.

It was one of my weird dreams. It was mostly about one of my coworkers. I’m a shipper in a warehouse, and there’s another guy, Carlos, who also ships most of the time, although sometimes if it’s not busy enough to need two shippers they’ll have him doing something else. We get along great. But in my dream he was quitting. And I was bummed because I wouldn’t have him to back me up anymore. There was a going away party for in our break-room at lunch, and our boss was giving a speech, and I was thinking that when she finished I should say something too, because I work the closest with Carlos, but I was feeling self-conscious to say anything in front of everyone.

There were a couple of other things not related to Carlos in my dream. One of my female coworkers came over to my desk for something and she was very pregnant. In real life she’s not, as far as I know. And there was another coworker, a new guy whom I haven’t really interacting with much, who took something from desk, and I was telling him not to touch my desk without my permission. There was also so other stuff I can only vaguely remember, something to do with a wild dog on the loose, and playing basketball. I’m not sure. Like I said, I have weird dreams.

Here in Southern California we’ve been hit with a heatwave. It was 94 where I work, and it got up to 100 in L.A. It was still 80 degrees at 9pm last night. I just checked the weather report and it’s supposed to be 96 today. For those who live in other states, let me assure you, this is not normal. This is much hotter than usual, especially for early May. We’re actually in the middle of a drought. Now, I’m not going to say that this may be a result of GLOBAL WARMING but, well, do the math. SOMETHING is going wrong.
