Alrighty now! This review is going to be short and sweet, because I can’t say too much without major spoilers.
We left off with Laskarus capturing Danny, Sam, and Amy. And tells this his history. We learn everything, his entire origin story, how he encounters the fellow vampires we’ve seen him with, what their history is, and what the reason is that he recruited Danny for the “army” he said he was building in the first issue. All I can say is, the revelation was not what I expected, and there’s still some plot twists that I didn’t see coming at all. Let’s just say that it ends with the kids getting an offer they can’t refuse.
I have to give credit to Mark Millar, he knows how to build a dramatic cliffhanger. Despite my lackluster reaction to Juanan Rameriz’s artwork, this is turning out to be one of the most interesting comics I’ve read in a long time. There’s only one issue left, and I can’t wait to see how it ends.
